We may use personal information for the purposes below. Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the table also identifies the legal bases on which we generally rely. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether the processing is necessary for the identified interest and balance that interest against your rights and interests.
You are not generally required by law to provide personal information to us. Where applicable law restricts international transfers of personal information, we will, to the extent possible and technically feasible, use legally recognized transfer mechanisms and best practices. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may rely on an applicable adequacy decision or framework, or, where an adequacy mechanism is not available, we may use contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with relevant UK or Swiss adaptations, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Where a data recipient is outside the United States, we will assess whether additional safeguards are appropriate considering the circumstances of the specific transfer and personal data potentially impacted.
